The Joint Stock Company Saprega UAB was registered in Plungė town on 9^th March 2000. The major activities of the company involve manufacturing and mounting of various building metal structures and parts of structures. The company has an access road to the railway line and it is located in a strategically convenient location – about 60 km away from Klaipėda port which enables to transport a ready production fast and handily. In addition, the company rents a manufacturing area for mounting bulky metal products such as ship hulls in Klaipėda port.

The total area of Saprega UAB makes 68000 m², whereas the production base covers an area of 23106 m² and the assembly-welding workshops, painting and sandblasting chambers cover an area of 17500 m². The nature of the company activities is metal turning, milling, boring, bending, cutting and welding. Besides the metal structures, the company manufactures various purpose metal containers, fishing gear, barges, tugboats, ship hulls, coupling pontoons, catamarans etc. Also, the high quality treatment of the metal surface like sandblasting and painting has been carried out. The constructional and repairs subdivision of the company manufactures and erects hangars, warehouses as well as other structures of a household and industrial purpose. In the workshops there is a new electronic cutting machinery that enables to cut out components in an accurate way.

The brand-new activities as smithery have been started recently. Since 2004 has been started an international business cooperation between CJSC “Saprega” and Norwegian companies, working in sea and fishing industry, for which our employees have performed new ships building and ships repairing jobs in Norway, according signed contracts between CJSC “Saprega” and Norwegian companies.

The larger half of the production of the company has been exported to Scandinavia, Iceland, the Netherlands as well as other West European countries.

In 2004 Saprega UAB was nominated for the Gazelė award and became a winner in Telšiai region as the most rapidly growing company among the small-scale and medium-scale enterprises.

Taking part in Gazelė 2005 and Gazelė 2006  awards, our company got a certificate, which confirms that CJSC “Saprega” is one of the most successfully working and most rapidly growing company in Lithuania.

Short Historical Review

The company was established in 2000, 9 march, haveing only 15 employees. Started it‘s work with production of metal details for various purposes, production of steel constructions, processing of steel surface. The company‘s annual turnover for that year was 0,9 million LTL. 

In 2001 was started the production of  metal containers. Signed the agreement with Netherlands company for the construction of Coupling pontoons and manufacture of complete movable bulkhead.

In 2002, written a long term collaboration contract with Denmark company „Miljo Art AS“ for the production of metal containers. Made the construction of Šventoji lifesaving station, reconstruction of sea yacht – passenger ship, production of complete hull of bunker tanker ; production of hull and superstructure of multi purpose boat .

 In 2003, repairing and construction of ship „Prinses Margriet“.

In 2004, has been started an international business cooperation between CJSC “Saprega” and Norwegian companies, working in sea and fishing industry, for which our employees have performed new ships building and ships repairing jobs in Norway, according signed contracts between CJSC “Saprega” and Norwegian companies. Accomplished repairing work for the ship “Nathalie”. Was started a cooperation in construction of factory KLAI-PET 2001 in Klaipeda.

In 2005, was made the first catamaran for the Norwegian company and the first container – house for the Lithuanian company. Was started the cooperation with Norwegian company regarding the production of metal hinges and cooperation with Iceland company regarding the production of  stainless steel ledders for the ships. Was started a cooperation in construction of factory “Orion Global PET” in Klaipeda.

In 2006, were started the cooperation with Latvian companies. We are ready to sign the contract with Norwegian company for the production of 5th catamaran.

Implementation of the Environmental Protection and Quality Standards according ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 will be completed.
